Setting up XBMC Remote

XBMC MANUAL CONFIGURATION
For the XBMC Remote to control XBMC the 'Web Server' must be turned on. The process to do this is as follows:
1. Select 'Settings' on the main menu
If you hover other the settings button without clicking, the IP will be revealed. Take note of this as it needs to be entered into the XBMC Remote when setting up a new host

2. Click on 'Network'
3. Choose 'Enable Web Server'
A default port of 80 should be fine. A password can also be entered here, but should only be needed if your machine is sitting directly on the internet
XBMC REMOTE IPHONE CONFIGURATION
The XBMC Remote App must be configured to access XBMC.
1. Select 'Settings'

2. Select 'Add Host'

3. Enter host details
'Port' and 'Password' (Optional) should match what was entered into XBMC Configuration.
'Host/IP' should be set to what XBMC showed in Step 1 above.
'Path' is optional and may be required for older versions of XBMC in cases where video/movie art is not shown. 'Path' is to be set to XBMC's userdata folder.
